Are you interested in getting involved in a Girl’s Only Cricket Competition?
Cricket Victoria (via the South East Metro Region), the Southern District and Churches Cricket League (SD&CCL) and the HawthornMonashUniversity Women’s Cricket Club are working together to commence a Junior Girls Competition in the SD&CCL.It is envisaged that this competition would take place on Wednesday evenings starting on the above date at Basil Street Reserve (East Malvern).
Other details at this stage will include: Ø8 a side ØAbridged participation based version of the game ØEquipment provided Ø8 to 10 week season both before and after Xmas
The reason behind getting this started is to give greater opportunities for girls to stay involved in the sport, over and above playing in boys competitions which can act as a deterrent for some girls.
